Dogs are okay, but cats…there’s not a snow ball’s chance in hell I’m going to accept cats.
I would much rather have a cat than a dog in my rental.
How much of a pet deposit should I charge? Maybe you should charge Pet Rent instead of a Pet Deposit?
What do you think? Pets or No Pets. Pet Rent or Pet Deposit?
Even though pets can damage your property and cost you money, is it worth accepting pets? If you don’t accept pets you’re eliminating a large pool of possible renters, which makes it harder for you to rent your unit. Is it worth it? Yes or No?

Pets are never allowed in our properties. We have tried it maybe ten times in 30 years and are batting 100% disaster. From having to re-sand and finish wood floors to having to professionally remove smells. We have been told by renters that our places are way cleaner and better than others they look at, and we do not have trouble renting any of them.
